DSM collaborates with Genedata to streamline its life science research
DSM has signed a co-operation agreement with Genedata, which includes a worldwide license for Genedata Phylosopher® and Genedata Expressionist® to support DSM's research and development activities in life sciences. Genedata's solutions will be deployed at DSM's major research sites to serve as a central computational infrastructure for all biological driven research and will support the interdisciplinary projects in the area of production strain optimization, mode-of-action studies, nutrigenomics and systems biology.
"With Genedata's technology we have found a solution that addresses our scientific and organizational challenges in the area of metabolic engineering" says Dr Manfred Eggersdorfer, Head of Research & Development of DSM Nutritional Products. "DSM's rapidly growing life science activities span across food, feed, personal care, pharmaceutical and agrochemical domains, with goals ranging from development of new compounds to production processes."
