VWR International, LLC Acquires VITRUM PRAHA S.R.O. and VITRUM ROZNOV S.R.O.
VWR International, LLC announced that it has acquired VITRUM PRAHA S.R.O. and VITRUM ROZNOV S.R.O., two distributors of scientific laboratory supplies headquartered in Prague and Roznov.
VITRUM PRAHA and VITRUM ROZNOV were founded in the early 1990's and are two well established independent distributors of laboratory consumables, equipment and chemicals in the Czech Republic. VITRUM provides its customers with a service-oriented approach in the industrial, pharmaceutical research and development, manufacturing as well as university market segments. VITRUM's core business of supplying consumables, instrumentation and chemicals complements VWR's European offerings.
Manuel Brocke-Benz, VWR Senior Vice President and Managing Director of European Operations, said, "This acquisition marks our continued commitment to Central and Eastern Europe. VITRUM is well-established and recognized nationally throughout the Czech Republic for coupling the right product mix with a customer centric approach to the science community.
