Shimadzu Opens New Regional Office
Expanding sales and service in the Southern California region
Shimadzu Scientific Instruments (SSI) announced the opening on July 1, 2007 of a new regional office in Carlsbad, Calif. This office shall allow Shimadzu to provide more direct sales, technical and service support for Southern California, Southern Nevada and Hawaii, and will be fully supported through the corporate office in Columbia, MD.
The Carlsbad location, Shimadzu's ninth U.S. regional office, is one more step in their plan to continually expand throughout the United States. "Our goal is to offer quality, convenient service and to enable our customers to work more efficiently with both their time and money," Takeshi Kawami, President of Shimadzu Scientific Instruments said.
Shimadzu formerly worked for this region through a distributor, Cole Scientific. Many of the Cole Scientific employees have transferred to Shimadzu to ensure uninterrupted customer service under the Shimadzu umbrella.
