The Julia DSC series from Anton Paar provides a modern, high-performance solution for dynamic differential scanning calorimetry, combining high measurement speed with exceptional ease of use. It has been designed to significantly accelerate thermal analysis workflows in the laboratory while delivering reliable, reproducible results. A key feature of the Julia DSC is its integrated Peltier temperature control. Measurements down to minus 35 degrees Celsius can be performed without external cooling devices, simplifying instrument setup and reducing energy consumption. For applications requiring extended temperature ranges, cooling modules can be exchanged within just a few minutes to reach temperatures as low as minus 170 degrees Celsius. This modular cooling concept allows laboratories to adapt quickly to changing requirements without long downtime or complex reconfiguration.
Operation of the Julia DSC is consistently focused on speed and user-friendly handling. The Julia Suite software supports users with a graphical method editor, intelligent suggestions and automated calibration and performance checks. A dedicated quality control mode simplifies the execution of standardized measurements and ensures consistent, traceable results. No extensive training is required, enabling new users to become productive quickly and reducing the overall workload in the laboratory.
For laboratories with high sample throughput, an optional autosampler is available that accommodates up to 70 samples and multiple reference positions. This enables automated, unattended measurements and significantly reduces manual handling, further increasing efficiency. In addition, a programmable Eco mode supports energy-efficient operation and contributes to sustainable laboratory practices.
