Particulate systems are present in various sizes with different property profiles in a variety of industrial areas. They are manufactured, modified, stored, transported, combined with other materials, but also used as final product. Therefore, particulate systems and their characterization play a major role in the development of new, innovative materials and processes.

Particle systems can be complex, but measuring them does not have to be!

In order to characterize particulate systems, combined instruments offering Dynamic light scattering and Electrophoretic light scattering (ELS) are widely used. DLS measures the particle size and particle size distribution of particles dispersed in a liquid, and ELS is used to determine the zeta potential.
