TD100-xr™
Automated thermal desorber for high-throughput automated analysis
Markes International Limited
Electrical cooling: Eliminate the cost and inconvenience of cryogen, and avoid ice formation
Sample splitting & re-collection: Repeat analyses of valuable samples; simplify method validation
Broad analyte range: Analyse VOCs from C3 to C44, including reactive & thermally labile species

Lowering detection limits & offering rapid throughput for a broad range of applications
The TD100-xr thermal desorber offers the rapid and unattended processing of up to 100 sorbent tubes in a single sequence. It’s the perfect thermal desorption unit for analytical laboratories needing to process large numbers of tubes with minimal operator intervention.
The focusing trap in TD100-xr uses electrical cooling, avoiding the expense and inconvenience of liquid cryogen, and the associated risk of ice blockage of the flow path. Not only that, but the option to re-collect split flows onto a clean sorbent tube allows valuable samples to be archived or re-analysed. This enhances confidence by overcoming the ‘one-shot’ limitation of less advanced TD systems, and by simplifying TD method validation.
TD100-xr is also versatile. Inert system flowpaths, optimised sorbents and backflush desorption help ensure quantitative recovery for everything from C3 hydrocarbons to semi-volatiles such as PAHs and phthalates, as well as reactive species. This makes it perfect for a wide range of high-throughput applications, from environmental monitoring to food/fragrance profiling.
