foodproof® STEC Screening and Identification LyoKits – for safer food

In a multiplex real-time PCR reaction, the foodproof® STEC Screening LyoKit detects the Shiga toxins stx1 and stx2 (including stx2f), as well as the adhesion factor intimin (eae) in different channels. The same lyophilized kit can then be used to identify the eight most important serogroups O26, O45, O103, O104, O111, O121, O145 and O157 in a single PCR test. For meat, a protocol with only eight hours’ enrichment time has been validated.

Optimized DNA extraction methods, whether for low or high throughput by means of automation, are also available. The methods follow ISO/TS 13136.
