The World's First Super Zoom Confocal!
The Leica TCS LSI is the first super zoom 3D-confocal and provides high resolution plus a large field of view for in vivo imaging. The new automated optical zoom concept allows dynamic magnification change on demand, easy switching from overview to details and free navigation in 3D through the specimen. True spectral confocal technology provides crystal clear images of highest resolution, revealing the finest details of the model organism.

Leica’s new Large Scale Imaging (LSI) platform adapts perfectly to the experimental needs of large scale specimen analysis.

More Freedom than Ever
For excellent results, the Leica TCS LSI offers free tunable magnification, a field of view of up to 16 mm plus precise 10 mm z-positioning range. Fine focusing is done either with the tuning wheel of the Universal Microscope Control or by LAS AF software. Even largest specimen can be placed easily and securely through wide open wing doors which allows to perfom new experiments.

New Zoom Optics Concept
The automated zoom allows to select any area of interest - without changing the objective. Continuously and parallax-free adjustment of magnification is provided by the fully apochromatic Leica Z16 APO 16:1super zoom which offers the largest range of magnification from 0.57x to 9.2x, whereas the Leica Z6 APO ranges from 0.57x to 3.6x - at excellent optical performance.

Visualize growth and the fascinating differentiation in organs from cell to embryo. Examine the influence of genomic defects of the whole animal and identify new pathways from gene to cell and from cell to animal.

Advanced Time Lapse
The Advanced Time Lapse software for in vivo experiments enables the researcher to study 4D processes easily and completely automated. By combining individual experiments to a fully automated workflow, protein interaction analysis or testing the influence of drugs in vivo are very easy to perform

Perfect Climate
Optimal growth conditions for living animals can be provided by a wide range of accessories: The laser safety cabinet is converted into a climate chamber by adopting a heating unit for precise temperature control. Stage adapters for CO2-gas and humidification offer optimal sample conditions.
