Two new microwave reaction systems providing the best solutions for your sample preparation
Multiwave PRO – Multiwave ECO
Anton Paar has been working in the field of microwave technology for more than three decades. Based on this longstanding experience, Anton Paar launches two new microwave reaction systems for sample preparation: Multiwave PRO and Multiwave ECO.
Multiwave PRO: The master of sample preparation
Multiwave PRO is a high-end, high-performance platform with a well-established range of rotors, vessels, sensors and accessories. Multiwave PRO as a platform system allows digestion, leaching, oxygen combustion, solvent extraction, drying, evaporation, and UV digestion with one single system.
Anton Paar's 90 years of experience in smart engineering and consistent use of high-quality components result in a microwave reaction system which runs reliably for years.
Highest temperature and pressure stability for difficult materials
Quartz vessels in Rotor 8N allow 300 °C at 80 bar for 3 hours for truly high performance.
Highest sample throughput
Up to 48 medium-pressure vessels (50 mL) or up to 64 medium-pressure vials (5 mL) can be used in a single run.
Unique features
Multiwave PRO supports the microwave-induced oxygen combustion and microwave-assisted UV digestion methods as well. Using Rotor 1DRY large bulky samples or small amounts in sample dishes can be dried in minutes with no need for an alternative instrument.
Convenient tool-free handling
The tool-free handling of Multiwave PRO’s rotors, vessels and sensors is unique to Anton Paar and simplifies frequently repeated work steps.
Get in touch
Multiwave PRO has a large color touchscreen for convenient operation which is easy to read from a distance. The on-board PC provides a multilingual and intuitive software solution.
True power
Multiwave PRO brings you the strongest microwave power on the market. To sustain an output level of 1500 W (IEC 705) over years, Multiwave PRO is equipped with two reliable magnetrons of 850 W each.
Cooling: fast and quiet
The integrated forced-air cooling system with air gap design cools the vessels within minutes after the run.
Safety without compromise
Numerous active and passive safety features protect the system, operator and surroundings in all situations.
Multiwave ECO: Routine digestions: simple and quick
Multiwave ECO is a quick and convenient microwave digestion system for the routine handling of environmental, food and many other samples. It is equipped with the brand-new Rotor 16HVT50 and works with the well-established Rotor 64MG5 and Rotor 1DRY.
The 16HVT50 rotor has a superior design for pressure-activated-venting which simplifies your routine digestion and allows higher sample amounts up to 2Â g. With process times of 30Â minutes or faster, including heating, holding and cooling, Multiwave ECO simplifies sample preparation tasks and provides solutions ready for analysis in the shortest time.
Precise reaction control
- Reaction control using the measured sample temperatures of all vessels.
- Heating of inorganic samples according to EPA 3051 and 3052 (i.e. acid digestion or extraction).
- Longer temperature ramping for reactive organic samples ensures moderate reaction regimes, even for higher sample amounts.
Pressure-activated venting
The pressure stability of the venting vessels is independent of the vessel temperature. Due to the unique pressure control, samples with different reaction behavior can be safely digested in the same run.
Safety first
Released reaction gases are quickly removed by Multiwave ECO’s powerful cooling fan.
Economic efficiency
The low investment and operating costs of Multiwave ECO and low costs for consumables make it a sound investment.
