Based on its longstanding experience in the field of microwave technology, Anton Paar has developed two microwave reaction systems for sample preparation: Multiwave PRO and Multiwave ECO.

Multiwave PRO: The master of sample preparation
Multiwave PRO is a high-end, high-performance platform with a well-established range of rotors, vessels, sensors and accessories. It allows digestion, extraction, oxygen combustion, solvent extraction, drying, evaporation, and UV digestion with one single system.

Anton Paar's 90 years of experience in smart engineering and consistent use of high-quality components result in a microwave reaction system which runs reliably for years.

Highest temperature and pressure stability for difficult materials
Rotor 8N with quartz vessels allows 300 °C at 80 bar for 3 hours for truly high-quality work. As the pressure of each vessel is measured 50 times per second, reliable reaction control is guaranteed, even with reactive samples.

Highest sample throughput
Up to 48 samples in pressure vessels (50 mL), 24 samples in reaction vessels with pressure-activated venting or up to 64 microsamples in glass vials can be digested in a single run.

Unique features
Multiwave PRO supports the microwave-induced oxygen combustion and microwave-assisted UV digestion methods as well. Using Rotor 1DRY large bulky samples or small amounts in sample dishes can be dried in minutes with no need for an alternative instrument.

Convenient tool-free handling
Anton Paar provides tool-free handling of rotors, vessels and sensors. This considerably simplifies routine work steps.

Easy to operate
Multiwave PRO has a large color touchscreen and is intuitive to operate. The implemented software is multilingual and supports pharma-relevant regulations such as 21 CFR Part 11. Using the integrated VNC server, Multiwave PRO can be operated from a computer, mobile phone or tablet.

Specially for the pharmaceutical industry
A custom-tailored pharma qualification and validation package is available for Multiwave PRO. This document meets the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry such as GMP, GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11 and USP <1058>.

Cooling: fast and quiet
The integrated cooling system with air gap design cools the vessels within minutes after the run. It is the most efficient cooling system on the market.

Multiwave ECO: the friendly routine digestion system
Multiwave ECO is a quick and convenient microwave digestion system for environmental, food and many other samples. Low investment and operating costs and low costs for consumables make Multiwave ECO a sound investment. With a typical processing time of only 30 minutes including heating, holding and cooling, Multiwave ECO simplifies sample preparation tasks and provides solutions which are ready for analysis in the shortest time.

Precise reaction control

  • Precise reaction control using the measured sample temperatures of all vessels.
  • Heating of inorganic samples according to EPA 3051 and 3052 (acid digestion or extraction).
  • Longer temperature ramping for reactive organic samples ensures moderate reaction regimes, even for higher sample amounts (≤ 2 g).

Pressure-activated venting of reaction gases
The opening pressure of the reaction vessels is independent of the vessel temperature. Due to the unique pressure control, samples with different reaction behavior can be safely digested in the same run.

Safety first
Released reaction gases are quickly removed by Multiwave ECO’s powerful cooling fan.
