Measuring humidity and dew point in chemical applications

High-precision humidity measurements now also possible under the most challenging conditions

by E+E ELEKTRONIK GmbH

With the EE33 humidity transmitter, quick and accurate humidity measurements can be obtained despite exposure to condensation or chemical substances. High-pressure processes, using up to 100 bar, and permanently high humidity levels are also no problem for this device.

The key component in this transmitter, which is guaranteed to retain its accuracy in the long term, is the HMC01 monolithic humidity sensor developed by E+E Elektronik. This humidity sensor is unaffected by chemical contamination or exposure to condensation. The innovative design means that contaminants simply evaporate. The monolithic design and use of modern thin-film process technology also ensure that the device retains its accuracy in the long term and has the best possible chemical resistance.
Add to this the unique E+E sensor coating and you have a sensor that is even better protected against corrosion and electrically conductive contamination.

With its robust metal housing and different design options and operating modes, the EE33 can be used for a wide range of applications including: measuring relative humidity with temporary condensation, measuring dew point with permanently high humidity levels, measuring relative humidity with permanently high humidity levels, measuring relative humidity with substantial chemical contamination and measuring relative humidity for high-pressure processes up to 100 bar.

Standard application areas include the pharmaceutical and food industries, automated processes and high-pressure sterilisation processes.
