DURAN® Super Duty beakers and Erlenmeyer flasks
The perfect addition for mechanically demanding work
by DURAN Group GmbHDue to increased amount of glass, mechanical sturdiness has been significantly improved in comparison with standard DURAN® beakers and Erlenmeyer flasks. The strengthened rim is another advantage of the product and provides additional impact resistance which considerably reduces the risk of breakage. This extension to the DURAN® product range therefore offers the user optimum safety when working with glassware that is subject to heavy mechanical loading, even when it is cleaned and used frequently. Super Duty glass vessels also work out cheaper in the long run - thanks to the increased impact resistance.
Moreover these Super Duty products are of course characterized by proven DURAN® characteristics such as high chemical resistance, nearly inert behaviour and high usage temperature as well as being autoclavable. To avoid thermal stressing of the glass, uniform and slow heating of Super Duty products is recommended.
When working at very high temperatures, or at rapid temperature changes, standard DURAN® beakers and Erlenmeyer flasks should be used, as these are characterized by excellent thermal shock resistance. However in comparison with the Super Duty range, the mechanical sturdiness of such DURAN® products is lower.
All Super Duty products are provided with a retrace code. By entering the retrace code and the corresponding article number, the batch and quality certificate can easily be downloaded via the DURAN Group website.
