Anton Paar GmbH was originally established in 1922 by master locksmith Anton Paar as a one-man locksmith’s workshop. By now Anton Paar GmbH produces high-quality measuring and analysis instruments for industry and research and is the global leader in the fields of density and concentration measurement as well as rheometry and CO2 determination. More than 1000 employees - in the Anton Paar GmbH headquarters in Graz and 14 subsidiaries worldwide - see to it that Anton Paar products match their excellent reputation. Anton Paar’s core competence, namely high-precision engineering and production, and the traditionally close-knit contact to the scientific community provide the basis for the quality of the high-precision instruments. In order to always be one step ahead of the state of the art, Anton Paar GmbH invests more than 20 % of its annual turnover in research and development. Apart from an enthusiasm for innovation, a further traditional value of the Graz-based company is its social commitment: Anton Paar GmbH is owned by the Santner Foundation, whose proceeds are targeted at non-profit research in the field of natural science and technology as well as addiction prevention and the rehabilitation of addicts.
